Ion Peptide is operating and surfaces credible public signals (composite 81/100), but we have not placed a first-hand test order yet — this is a public-data audit. US research-peptide vendor whose 106 Kovera Labs reports (median 99.93% purity, zero failures) remain its strongest signal - but those records live on the lab's side, because as of 12 October 2026 Ion's own site returns a site-wide Cloudflare block to us and retail prices are account-gated. Coded ION-X SKU naming on a subset of products carries a regulatory-exposure deduction. The signal table below shows what we verified and what is still open.

- −The ION-X coded products are not in our Kovera identity-mismatch dataset because Kovera cannot match a coded SKU to a reference compound. The 99.93% median purity figure applies to identifiable compounds; coded-SKU verification is more limited
- −Access check, 12 October 2026: every page we requested on ionpeptide.com, including the homepage and robots.txt, returned a Cloudflare 'Sorry, you have been blocked' page (HTTP 403) on three separate capture routes. A third-party page reader could still retrieve the homepage and /lab-results/, and Trustpilot shows customer reviews through 8 October, so we read this as an access filter (country, network or bot rules) and not a shutdown. We cannot say which rule applies, and we could not re-capture Ion's own COA library ourselves
- −Where the peptides are made is not verified: the homepage says many products come from 'U.S.-based or GMP-compliant' laboratories, which is not a claim of US manufacture for every SKU
What we mean by "legit"
We do not use "legit" as a single yes-or-no signal. A vendor is legit when four things hold: identifiable corporate operator, third-party or independently-mirrored COAs, shipping and payment infrastructure that consistently delivers, and a complaint history that surfaces real issues rather than vanishes them. For Ion Peptide the audit is "public-data tier" — we aggregate vendor disclosures, third-party COA mirrors, operating-history evidence, and complaint patterns. A first-hand test order is still pending and the page will be upgraded when that lands.
