FDA retatrutide warning letters: who still sells it

FDA has sent 22 warning letters citing retatrutide since Dec 2024. On 10 Oct 2026, six of the named sites still listed it with a cart button.

QUICK ANSWER

We found 22 FDA warning letters that cite retatrutide, issued between 10 December 2024 and 24 August 2026. Twenty-one went to sellers, matching the count JAMA reported on 9 October 2026; one went to an ingredient distributor. On 10 October 2026 six of the websites named in those letters still showed retatrutide, or a code name for it, on a product page with a cart button. Three of the five sellers FDA warned on 24 August were among them. Of Lilly's 11 retatrutide defendants, two sites still listed the drug.

Answer first: FDA's warning-letter database holds 22 letters that cite retatrutide, and 21 of them went to sellers. On 10 October 2026, 6 of the websites those letters named still showed retatrutide, or a code name for it, on a product page with a cart button. Two of Lilly's 11 retatrutide defendants still listed it too. The full table has all 33 letters and cases, with the counts above it.

JAMA Medical News reported on 9 October that FDA "has issued 21 warning letters, dating back to December 2024, to entities selling retatrutide", and that Tex Peptides' homepage "still prominently featured retatrutide" five weeks after its 24 August letter. JAMA did not list the 21. We rebuilt the list from fda.gov and checked each site.

Which FDA warning letters cite retatrutide?

Twenty-two, issued in six batches. We pulled FDA's warning-letter index on 10 October 2026, kept every letter from the drug center (CDER) since 1 November 2024 (583 letters), read the full text and searched for retatrutide, LY3437943 and the code names FDA quotes ("GLP-3 RT", "GLP-3R", "GLP-1-R", "GLP1-R", "RETA").

Letter dateLettersRecipients
10 Dec 20244Prime Peptides, Summit Research Peptides, Swisschems, Xcel Research
9 Sep 20256Amazing Meds, ASN-Labs, Trust Labs, GenLabMeds, GLP-1 Solution, MedClub
8 Dec 20251Darmerica (ingredient distributor)
20 Jan 20261GenoGenix (repackager, inspection)
31 Mar 20265Gram Peptides, Pink Pony Peptides, Mile High Compounds, PekCura Labs, Prime Sciences
24 Aug 20265NuScience, Peak Performance, Peptide Partners, Royal Peptides, Tex Peptides

The numbers reconcile. Lilly's August complaints said FDA had sent "at least 16" retatrutide letters, and before the 24 August batch there were 16 letters to sellers. The five August letters bring that to the 21 that JAMA and Lilly's October complaint against LiveWell Peptides both cite. The 22nd letter, to Darmerica, is the outlier: FDA quotes the firm saying it "ceased importing/distributing Retatrutide" in 2025 and calls that correction "adequate". Its website showed no retatrutide on 10 October.

Which sites still listed retatrutide on 10 October?

Six domains named in letters, from all four batches of letters to sellers:

  • Tex Peptides (letter 24 Aug 2026). The URL FDA quoted, texpeptide.com/product/glp-3-rt/, showed "GLP-3 RT (20mg)" at $200, "In stock", with an Add to cart button, and the product also sat on the homepage.
  • Peptide Partners (24 Aug 2026). The same URL FDA quoted showed "GLP-3 Retatrutide (24mg vials)", in packs of 48 to 480 mg at $230 to $1,512, "In stock", Add to cart. Our Peptide Partners audit has its testing record.
  • Royal Peptides (24 Aug 2026). "Retatrutide Single Vial", $45 to $330 with 20% off, marked in stock, plus 10-vial kits from 5 to 60 mg and a retatrutide/eloralintide blend in its product sitemap.
  • Mile High Compounds (31 Mar 2026). The "GLP-3 RT" address in the letter now redirects to "MHC-3 RT", $54.99 to $229.99, in stock, with a cart button. The page does not name the compound. Details in our Mile High Compounds audit.
  • GenLabMeds (9 Sep 2025). "Retatrutide 20mg Research Compound", $140, in stock, Add to cart, with 5 to 60 mg sizes and a "pen" in its sitemap. FDA's letter described compounded products; the site now uses research-use wording.
  • Prime Peptides (10 Dec 2024). The URL in the letter returns 404, but primepeptides.co/products/retatrutide/ showed "Retatrutide", in stock, Add to cart, with $110 on the homepage.

One more sits beside them. FDA reviewed coretrustlabs.com for Trust Labs and wrote to an address at coretrustlab.com. The first now shows "Launching Soon". The second redirects to trustlab.clinic, a "Trust Labs" store that listed "Retatrutide (36mg)" at $450 with a cart button. We have not confirmed it is the same operator, so we counted it separately.

Three of the five sellers FDA warned on 24 August still had retatrutide listed seven weeks later, and JAMA's Tex Peptides observation still held.

Which named sites no longer list it?

Six letter recipients showed no retatrutide product:

  • NuScience Peptides: the "GLP-3 RT" URL returns 404, site search finds nothing, and its 53-product catalog has no GLP item.
  • Peak Performance Peptides: the 10 mg retatrutide URL in the letter returns 410 Gone, and site search finds nothing.
  • Swisschems: the retatrutide URL from the 2024 letter redirects to the shop page, and search finds nothing. Our Swiss Chems page covers the lookalike domain question.
  • Amazing Meds: the telehealth site now runs articles saying retatrutide "is not FDA-approved or legally available for public purchase".
  • MedClub: the med spa's search returns only semaglutide and tirzepatide posts.
  • Darmerica: no retatrutide on the site.

Three domains are gone. summitpeptides.shop shows a parking page that says the domain "may be for sale". glp1solution.store redirects to a domain-marketplace listing. asn-labs.com does not resolve, and the .com registry lists it on "client hold", last changed 4 August 2026.

Five stores sit behind a login wall: Xcel Peptides, Gram Peptides ("Members only"), Pink Pony Peptides, PekCura Labs and Prime Sciences. Every product URL we tried redirected to a sign-in page. We did not create accounts, so we cannot say what those catalogs sell or at what price.

Two of them show signals in public. Pink Pony's homepage, which loads without a login, lists "PinkPony-3 RT" at $70 with a "Select options" button, next to "PinkPony-2TZ". FDA's March letter quoted "GLP-3 RT" and "GLP-2 TZ" on the same site, so we read "3 RT" as retatrutide; the product page itself is behind the login.

PekCura's public product sitemap lists four products named by retatrutide's CAS number, 2381089-83-2 (10 mg, 30 mg and a cagrilintide combo), last modified between 29 May and 3 June 2026, after its 31 March letter. A sitemap entry shows a page exists, not that it is on sale. GenoGenix's letter came from an inspection and names no website.

What about Lilly's 11 defendants?

Lilly sued six sellers on 12 August and five on 8 October; the cases are in Lilly has now sued 11 peptide sellers. Where a complaint was public we used the domain it names. Elsewhere we inferred the domain from the business name and say so in the table.

  • American Peptides listed its product at americanpeptides.us/products/retatrutide under a new name. Our 9 October article recorded "RETA-GLP3". On 10 October the page was titled "AP-RTA-3™", described "LY3437943", marked it in stock and showed a cart button. We still have not confirmed from the complaint that Lilly's suit targets this site. The full record is in American Peptides and the Lilly lawsuit.
  • Legendary Peptides returned a 403 error to our direct request. A fetch through another tool showed "GLP3 (R)", $60 to $145, under "Top Products"; we could not see stock status or a cart button. On our re-check the same tool returned the homepage without a product list, so we could not confirm it a second time.
  • LiveWell Peptides' domain does not resolve. The registry shows "client hold", last changed 9 October 2026; Lilly filed on 8 October.
  • Texas Peptides Inc. returns a hosting error, "DEPLOYMENT_PAUSED".
  • Astra Peptides' domain failed DNS validation, so we could not check it. Southlake Mhya PLLC (Medrein) had no domain we could confirm.
  • MedShape's former /retatrutide/ page, which a search index shows describing "G3" retatrutide, now redirects to a general programs page.
  • Striker Pharmacy, Lone Star Peptide, Cenexa Labs and Aesthetic Envy showed no retatrutide product.

A naming trap: JAMA writes that Lilly's August suits included Tex Peptides. The Lilly complaint we read names Texas Peptides Inc. and texaspeptidesinc.com. FDA's letter went to TXP Innovations, doing business as Tex Peptides, at texpeptide.com. We have found no record linking the two businesses.

The full table

"Listed" means a product page naming retatrutide or a code name loaded with a price and a cart button. The one exception is Legendary Peptides, where we saw the product and price once but could not confirm a cart button.

How did we check, and what are the limits?

For each letter we used the domain FDA says it reviewed and every product URL the letter quotes; for each lawsuit, the domain in the complaint or, where none was public, the one matching the business name. We recorded the HTTP status and final address, read the product page for name, price, stock flag and cart button, ran the site's search for "retatrutide" and "glp", and read public product sitemaps. Domains that did not load we looked up in public DNS and the .com registry.

LimitWhat it means
A listing is not a saleWe bought nothing. A cart button can sit on a page whose checkout is off
Sites change by the hourMedShape's sitemap changed at 04:43 UTC on 10 October, about 45 minutes before our check
Login wallsFive catalogs are "could not check", even where a homepage or sitemap gives a hint
Names are not identitiesA shared brand, redirect or city does not prove a shared operator. We marked each inference
We can miss lettersA letter naming the drug only in an image or attachment would not show up in a text search

None of this is a finding that any seller broke the law. FDA's letters state FDA's position, and the recipients may dispute it. No court has ruled on the merits of any Lilly case.

What should a buyer take from this?

A warning letter tells you what FDA saw on a site on a given day. It does not tell you the site stopped. Before ordering, search the FDA warning letter database for both the company name and the domain, then check the product name against our code-name decoder. By our reading "MHC-3 RT", "AP-RTA-3" and "GLP3 (R)" all point to the same molecule as "GLP-3 RT", which the GLP-3 RT page explains. The full enforcement record is in our FDA peptide enforcement timeline, and the August letters are read line by line in FDA's August 2026 letters and Lilly's six lawsuits. Retatrutide has no approved route to buyers yet; the one lawful option is covered in where to buy retatrutide.

What we read

FDA's warning-letter index as served on 10 October 2026, and the full text of all 583 CDER letters issued since 1 November 2024. The JAMA Medical News article of 9 October 2026. The public Lilly complaints against Legendary, Astra, Texas Peptides, Lone Star, Striker and LiveWell, and the dockets for the other five. Each website listed above, loaded between 05:22 and 05:36 UTC on 10 October 2026, with the listed and login-walled sites loaded again between 05:45 and 05:50 UTC. Public product sitemaps where they existed. Public DNS and .com registry records for the domains that did not load.

What we did not read

Anything behind a login. The complaints against American Peptides, Cenexa, MedShape and Southlake Mhya PLLC, which were not public. Any firm's response to its warning letter; FDA posts responses only sometimes and we found none for these letters. Close-out letters. Wayback Machine captures, which rate-limited us on 10 October.

Frequently asked

How many FDA warning letters mention retatrutide?

We counted 22 on fda.gov as of 10 October 2026, issued from 10 December 2024 to 24 August 2026. Twenty-one went to sellers, which matches the 21 JAMA reported on 9 October. The 22nd went to Darmerica, an ingredient distributor; FDA wrote that it had already stopped distributing retatrutide and called that corrective action adequate.

Do companies keep selling after an FDA warning letter?

Some do. On 10 October 2026, six websites named in retatrutide warning letters still had a retatrutide or code-named product page with a cart button. That includes Tex Peptides, Peptide Partners and Royal Peptides, all warned on 24 August. A listing shows what a page offered on the day we loaded it. It does not prove a sale.

Is Tex Peptides still selling retatrutide?

On 10 October 2026 texpeptide.com still showed "GLP-3 RT (20mg)" at $200, marked "In stock", with an Add to cart button, at the same URL FDA quoted in its 24 August letter. JAMA reported the same product on the homepage five weeks after the letter. We saw it seven weeks after.

What does a warning letter actually require a seller to do?

A warning letter asks the firm to respond within 15 business days, explain how it will correct the violations, and warns that failing to act may lead to seizure or an injunction. It is an advisory notice. It is not a court order, and it does not shut down a website by itself.

How do I check whether a peptide seller got an FDA warning letter?

Search FDA's warning letter page for the company name, then search again for the domain, since letters list the website FDA reviewed. Read the product list in the letter for code names like "GLP-3 RT" or "GLP-3R". Then search CourtListener for the company name with "Eli Lilly".

Did any seller rename retatrutide after a letter or lawsuit?

Two did, by our reading. Mile High Compounds' "GLP-3 RT" address now redirects to a product called "MHC-3 RT". American Peptides' retatrutide page is now titled "AP-RTA-3™" and cites LY3437943, Lilly's code for the molecule. Both pages showed a cart button on 10 October.
